Appointment 

Following the successful hybrid planning permission in March 2020 for the wider Greengate masterplan, for which MEP Design provided mechanical, electrical, public health including sprinkler and utilities design services to RIBA Stage 3, we were appointed to deliver Plot C / Bankside. Design duties to RIBA Stage 4 throughout and uplift to Stage 5 in key areas requiring even more detailed coordination and 3D modelling, together with construction stage support to handover and post completion.

Design stage commencement in the 2nd quarter of 2021 with handover almost 4 years later. 

Description

Bankside, part of the Colliers Yard development, is located within the Greengate area of Salford. Standing at 42 storeys tall, with 444 luxury apartments and penthouses all for sale, ranging from 1, 2 and 3 bedroom, along with an exceptional level of residential amenities, synonymous with Renaker developments, including private car parking for 155 cars and bike parking for 178 bikes over 3 basement levels, also including plant and pet wash. 2 levels of podium comprise resident’s amenity areas over both floors, including concierge lobby areas, private gym, podcast room and studio, lounges, meeting rooms, dining rooms, co-working, roof terrace as well as four commercial leisure units at Ground Floor. 

 

The site forms part of the Greengate regeneration area of Salford and is situated between Gravel Lane, Boond Street, New Boond Street, Greengate, Trinity Way and Collier Street.
